Where It Started
- Typology
- Context
The first project that asked for a fully resolved cabin, and the moment a way of designing became legible.

Narrative
The brief circled the idea of the cabin: solitude, separation and self-reflection. The work sits in the distance between shelter and feeling — how a small, singular structure can hold the sensation of home rather than merely the function of it.
Development happened almost entirely by hand. Perspective sketches were used as a thinking tool, testing volume, threshold and sightline before anything was drawn to scale.
Key decisions
- A single occupant treated as the entire client body
- Volume and threshold resolved through conceptual hand drawing
- Inspired in part by the work of Es Devlin
